Description
Solitary. Gasterocarp stipitate, 7.5 cm tall. Glebal portion 3.5 cm broad, 2 cm tall, dry brown areolate with dull yellow between areoles. Peridium thin, gleba light gray. Stipe 5.5 x 1.5 cm, tough and durable, yellowish brown (nearest 5D4), with interior light yellowish brown slowly changing to a pale red. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
