facing slope along ± disturbed roadside in sage-
steppe foothill community with Artemisia,
Purshia, Sisymbrium, Bromus, and Cryptantha.
Very sandy soil. Hundreds of scattered plants.
Magenta-purple flowers with yellow patches
surrounded by deeper purple on the palate.
