BOTANICAL GARDEN NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN 03287052 CUSTER CO: Lost River Range, Challis National Forest, ridge between two forks of upper Grouse Cr, ca 1.5 miles W of Grouse Cr Mt, ca 19 miles N of Dickey. T12N R21E S23 NE1/4. Elevation 9900'. Moist meadow in depression that has standing water early in season creating frost hummocks and frost boils. Deep clay soil with mantle of coarse gravel at surface. Associated with Solidago multi rad iata, Carex elynoides, Trisetum spicatum, Festuca ovina, Potentilla diversifolia, Senecio werneriaefolius, Sibba/dia procumbens, Poa alpina. Corolla pink, turions absent. Uncommon below late-lying snow. Collected by: R. K. Moseley 535 14 August 1984 03287052
