Onasraceae Clarkia rhomboidea Douglas SAWMILL MOUNTAIN: 5514-ft summit and immediately adjacent slopes. Burnt Peak 7.5' USGS Quadrangle, T7N R16W, SW/4 NW/4 SE/4 section 15 (projected from section 14). Elevation ca 5460-5514 feet. Summit and adjacent slopes a mosaic of open areas and thickets. Thickets composed of Q. kelloggii, Qu. wislizeni frutescens, hybrids between these two, Rhamnus tomentella cuspidata, Satnbucus rnexicana, Cea.noth.us leucodermis, Cercoccirpus beluloides, Lonicera interrupta, Keckiella lernata septentrionalis, etc. Annual, occasional locally, mostly in dappled shade near oaks; petals lavender with few red-violet spots proximally; petals claws with two lateral lobes.
