south of Swan Lake along Hwy 83, Swan River State
Forest, NW 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Section 29 T.23N R.17W;
3,200 ft., 0% slope, soil composition sandy/silt
loam; fringe of Phalarus/Equisetum/Carex meadow;
common with Rhamnus alnifolia, Populus tremuloides,
Populus trichocarpa, Phalarus arundinacea, Cornus
stolonifera and Pseudotsuga menziesii; pale yellow
flowered annual- not reported for NW Montana in
Flora of the PNW; height 1-2 decimeters.
