Habitat
Tabocal (forest dominated by Guadua weberbaueri) on mostly level terrain. Canopy open, low tree density, understory open in places. Occasional. Soils poorly drained in most places.

Description
root-climbing epiphyte. Root-climbing epiphyte, fertile fronds deep rusty red abaxially (sori). Always found 1-1.2 m from ground.
