Caruthers Canyon; elev. c. 5200 ft; sandy and gra-
velly plain in grassland with Gilia sinuata, Plantago
erecta, Euphorbia albomarginata, Calochortus kennedyi,
Astragalus lentiginosus fremontii, and many other
annuals; corollas pale blue.
