Shrub to 1 m; leaves bullate, discolorous, semi-coriaceous, mid-green tinged blue above, yellowish green with a rusty-brown tomentum below especially on the raised veins; calyces pale green with sparse rust- coloured indumentum, lobes red, petals white, filaments and anthers white.
