    Linaria vulgaris Mill.

I am taking the liberty of sending you
two or three specimens of a form of llnaria vulgaris
whioh grows in great profusion in at least four
localities within about five miles of Toronto. I
have been unable to learn anything about this form
either by correspondence or from books* Do you know
£
anything about it* You see it is spurless, I think
it does nbt^^^seeds but propogates itself simply
from foot grtmlkg. There can be no doubt that it is
established here for this is the second year that I
have seen it and I could collect a waggon load of it
if necessary.
These specimens were collected quite late
and if you desire some better ones, next Summer I will
gather them and press them for you. In the meanwhile
would you be good enough to let me know if you know
anything about this form?
I remain. ^
