T. 8S, R. 2E, NW1/4 NE1/4 Sect. 21. South side of East Herrin Road, south of Chittyville Road, at bend in gravel drive. 1.5 mile due east-northeast of Herrin. Vicinity of reclaimed Consolidated Coal Company mine. Johnston City 7.5’ quadrangle. Elevation 400 feet. Wet silty sand, poorly drained, very disturbed. NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN 03283788 Cleared area west of margin of oak forest and gravel road; wet fallow cropland; Juncus tenuis, Geranium carolinianum, Centunculus, Callitriche terrestris, Plantago spp. Flowers white, horizontal, locally common erect annual herb in wetter areas.
