JUNEAU ICEFIELD: About 400 yards north of
cookhouse at Camp 17 (FGER) and below Vesper
Peak. Elevation about 4,350'. Mesic moss/
lichen stony meadow. Pm schistose. On mod-
erately steep mid-slope with south aspect.
Common, with Saxifraga bvonohialis3 Sedun
rosea3 Luzula arouata spp. unalaschcensis3
and Eievoohloe alpina. Plants very strongly
mat-forming with few, long tap roots.
Flowers with sweet musky scent. Corollas
pinkish-purple, calyx green at base and deep
purple at apex.
