Sandy soil on broad floodplain on east side of the
Rocky River; area recently clear-cut. Site #131
(Lat. 34°06T49"; Long. 82°37’38"), ca. 0.75 mile
due northeast of confluence of Rocky River with the
Savannah River; ca. 2 miles northwest of town of
Calhoun Falls. Below the 475-ft. contour (full
pool for proposed Russell Lake).
