Description
Pileus 8 cm broad, broadly convex, dry, very finely tomentose to subtomentose to subglabrous, occasionally finely areolate, (4A3) to (5D5). Flesh white, unchanging, 15-20 mm thick, with mild odor and taste. Tubes adnate, white and stuffed when young becoming yellow to greenish yellow with age, unchanging when exposed; pores concolorous, unchanging, 1-2/mm. Stipe 11-12 cm long, 2-2.5 cm broad, ±equal to barely subclavate in one, dry, white to a very pale tan overall, with coarse concolorous reticulum from apex to base; interior white, solid, unchanging. NH4 (+) pale violet on pale portions of pileus, negative on stipe. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
