T. 8S, R. 2E, NW1/4 NE1/4 Sect. 21. South side of East Herrin Road, south of Chittyville Road, at bend in gravel drive. 1.5 mile due east-northeast of Herrin. Vicinity of reclaimed Consolidated Coal Company mine. Johnston City 7.5’ quadrangle. Elevation 400 feet. Wet silty sand, poorly drained, very disturbed. Cleared area west of margin of oak forest and gravel road; wet fallow cropland; Juncus tenuis, Geranium carolinianum, Centunculus, Callitriche terrestris, Plantago spp., Krigia oppositifolia. Common dwarf, inconspicuous annual herb, flowers white. Pedicels glandular like Sagina japónica (Sw.) Ohwi. Steven R. Hill 34715 05 June 2002 03265459
