Brushy areas, slightly rolling topography on sandy soil, subtropical semi-deciduous woodlands, now much in cattle pastures. With Trichilia stellatotomentosa, Miconia molybdea, Casearia aculeata, Bredemeyera floribunda. Shrub 2.5 m. tall. Inflorescence mostly in bud; petals white; the light pink-purple anthers are more conpicuous than the petals. Coll.: M. Nee 55609 5 May 2008 03257208
