Polycarpon tetraphyllum (L.) L. !VM Four-leaved Manyseed
====>First report from Portland and NW Oregon in more than 100 years.
S. E. Yamhill St. and 7th Ave. by Oregon Ballet Theater Building, seams of
building and sidewalk, adjacent sidewalks, sidewalks and streets, mostly from
7th to 9 paces (—2 5 ’) N of Yamhill, where ± shaded, to Yamhill and along
Yamhill to 10 paces (-28’) W of 7th, where open; also single plants seen 32
paces (-90’) S of S. E. Belmont on SE 7th and 9 paces (~25’) E of S. E. 6th
Ave. on Yamhill. This collection: NW comer of SE 7th Ave. and Yamhill St;
up to 9 paces (~25’) N of Yamhill on 7th and 8 paces (~22’) W of 7th on
Yamhill: seams of sidewalk, sidewalk and adi. building and sidewalk and
street: 9 mostly small plants. 1 large plant on the S end of the Bide on 7th -
about 30 cm x 15 cm. With Spergularia rubra, Polygonum aviculare, Sagina
procumbens, Capsella bursa-pastoris, Draba verna, Cerastium glomeratum,
Poa annua, Hypochaeris radicata, Veronica arvensis, Stellaria media and
Hordeum murinum nearby; elev. 40’. Although usually surviving mild
winters, they didn’t endure the hard winter of2008-2009, but soon reseeded.
