Crevices of sidewalk, adjacent buildings and adjacent streets, NE 11th Ave., ~
10 paces (30’) N of Couch St. irregularly S to Couch, E on Couch to 12th Ave.
and N on 12th ~ 15 paces (45’), seam of sidewalk and adjacent Couch St. on
the S side of the street, at the SW comer; with Hordeum sp., Hypochaeris sp.,
Juglans seedling, Cerastium glomeratum, Sonchus sp., Digitaria sanguinalis\
Daucus carota and Spergularia rubra nearby ; elev. ~110’. Often dozens of
well branched plants and clumps upwards of 5 -10 cm tall and 15 cm across
(one large plant > 30 X 15 cm seen in 2008) as well as lots of little plants
seen. This collection: N.E. Couch St. and German Formula Repair building
on the N side of Couch, from about 13 paces (40’) E of NE 11th Ave. to about
5 paces (15’) W of NE 12th Ave.: open. S side of building. Usually survives
mild winters; didn’t endure the hard winter of 2008-2009, but soon reseeded.
