R17W, NE/4 SE/4 SW/4 section 27; elev. ca 2840-2880
feet.
Xeric, eroding, sedimentary slope of southeasterly
exposure, with scattered Salvia mellifera, Stipa coronata,
etc.
Locally common suffrutescent hemiparasite;
flowering bracts reddish orange; galea greenish yellow.
