Castilleia plnetorum Fern.
Calyx scarlet-tipped with yellow band below,
Corolla -yellowish with rose-scarlet margins.
Common in serpentine area among shrubs of Erio-
dictyon californicum, Arctostaphylos mariposa,
and'Quercus dumosa.
High above (north) of Middle Fork American
River, about Zj road miles east of Forest Hill,
Elevation ca. 2500 feet.
