On grassy, rounded hills near Concord, Contra Costa County,
at an altitude of 100 m.
This species was doubtless introduced by immigrants from the
Mediterranean Region. It was noted as occurring near this locality
by Greene (Man. Bay Reg. 284) but it has not otherwise been
recorded from North America.
