Description
Tree, 20 m high, dbh 45 cm. Bark light-brown with long vertical rows of lenticels, rows 1-3 cm apart, inner bark orangish brown, wood whitish. Leaves with 8-9 leaflets, with woody brown stipules, petioles and petiolules; underside of leaves very fine yellowish/golden brown velvety pubescent, upperside of the leaves dark green. Infructescence axis tinged purplish, fruits green glaucous. Vernacular names: matchwood, pointed-leaf karohoro.
