Antelope Valley, east of California Poppy Reserve, north and south sides of Avenue I (Lancaster Road), 1.5 miles west of Munz Ranch Road, 2.6 miles west of junction with 120th Street West, about 15 miles due northwest of Palmdale. Elevation about 2640 feet. North side of San Gabriel Mountains. Gentle slopes, sandy gravel (decomposed granite). Southwestern Mojave Desert, annual desert grassland with grazing history, with Eschscholzia califomica, Astragalus, Pectocarya, Lasthenia califomica, Schismus, Bromus spp. Flowers white, inconspicuous, fruit sections planar-recurved, adherent to clothing; common inconspicuous annual herb.
