380 ft. Alluvial soil and adjacent cherty-limestone slopes
in humus.
Mesic floodplain forest with Platanus, Acer, Ulmus,
Geum, Claytonia, Senecio glabellus, Ranunculus spp.
Occasional perennial from a woody rootstock; flowers
blue, bell-shaped, pendulous; stem ca. 0.5 m tall; most
with young fruit.
