local in disturbed bouldery loam along highway, mile
1. noted also in adjacent undisturbed woods with
Picea spp., Populus tremuloides, and Larix. this
Mertensia is fairly common along the Mackenzie high-
way in N. W. T., but on the Enterprise-Mackenzie
river highway seen only at mile 1.
