Tributary of Butte Creek, northern Butte County, in the Transi- tion Zone of the Sierra Nevada at 1580 m. altitude. On hillsides, growing in openings between thickets of Ceanothus cordulatus, with surrounding forests of Abies concolor. Soil of vol- canic origin. Corolla pure white, including the 5-lobed crest in throat. Collected by H. M. Hall (no. 9776), July 23, 1914. 03237157
