  • Description

    Pileus 2-5 cm broad, convex to plano-convex to depressed on the disc with uplifted margin, dry, dull, glabrous, dark brown (8F8) becoming paler brown (6-7E7) with age. Flesh white unchanging exuding a watery white latex when cut, with a spicy fragrant odor and mild taste. Lamellae decurrent, close, grayish orange (5B4) at first, becoming slightly browner with age, unchanging from exuded latex, with even edges. Stipe 2-6 cm long, 5-9 mm broad, equal, dry, fragile, glabrous to slightly subpruinose (lens), concolorous with pileus, sometimes with pallid mycelium at base, with interior becoming hollow. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
