Hubei Province, Shennongjia Forest District: SW of Wangziping Cun
and WNW of Aoya along the Xiangshui He (Xiangshui River).
31°20'39"N, 110°14'18"E; 495 m. Heavily disturbed areas adjacent to
barely recovering secondary forests. Gravelly-stony margin or stream
at base of steep wooded slope. Coarse herb, branches spreading, ca. 1
m across and ca. 1.5 m tall when held erect; flowers and fruit both
held below leaves, flowers pendulous; calyx green; corolla yellowish
orange; fruit immature, green. DNA material available.
