Alluvial gravel. Dominates: Ambrosia dumosa, Larrea.

Description
Sub-shrub, 3 dm tall; older stem gray, shreddy, young stem green, short-hairy; leaves 6-13mm., obovate, 2-3 mm.; heads radiate, terminal; phyllaries in 3-4 series, obovate, scarious; ray flowers yellow; disk flowers yellow. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
