(Potosi 7.5’ Q.: 35°57.286'N, 115o36.102W, ±1000m). Alt:
1235m/4050ft. Limestone alluvial slope, gravelly/rocky surface
with sandy matrix, cut by many washes; creosote bush scrub
grading to Joshua tree woodland, with Larrea, Coleogyne,
Ambrosia dum., Lyciwn and., Encelia virg., Yucca brev., Ephedra
nev., Krameria ere., Menodora spin., Eriogonum trich., E.
deflexum, Mentzelia, Chorizanthe rig., Bromus rub., etc.
Scarce annual overall, but locally common on a S-facing wash
bank; fls. white.
