1530-1555m/50l7-5100ft. Rocky limestone slopes north of the
pass, gen. south-facing; burned juniper-Joshua tree woodland with
Juniperus osteosperma, Yucca schidigera, Y. brevifolia, Agave
utahensis, Opuntia erinacea, Salazaria mexicana, Salvia
mohavensis, Aristida purpurea, etc.
Uncommon perennial; fls. yellow. Nutlets smooth.
