Melastomataceae Macairea lasiophylla (Benth.) Wurdack Det. F. Almeda & D. Penneys, V 2005 GUYANA. Potaro-Siparuni Region. Pakaraima Mts., upper Ireng R., 1-2 km above Ando Falls, Sukabi R. Elevation: 800 m. 5°7'N 59°58'W. Rock savanna, with giant Brocchinia, and low canopy forest with Clusia, Rapatea. Herb, 0.5 m tall; leaves with white hairs, reddish edges; calyx purple-brown, corolla pink-purple at base, extending to white. Anthers yellow, filament: basal 4/5 white, top 1/5 pink. T.W.
