Lake Hughes 7.5' USGS Quadrangle; T7N R14W, SE/4 SE/4 SW/4 SW/4 section 32. Elev. ca 3660 feet. Local slopes covered in chaparral, dominated by Adenostoma fasciculatum, Quercus john-tuckeri, Cercocarpus betuloides, Dendromecon rigida rigida, Eriophyllum confertiflorum, Eriastrum densifolium austromontanum, Arctostaphylos glauca (sdlgs), Ceanothus cuneatus (C. oblanceolatus A.Davidson), etc. Suffrutescent perennial to ca 21 dm tall; corollas (pinkish-) lavender; lower stems clad in marcescent foliage.
