Brazil. Bahia. Summit of Morro do Chapeu, ca. 8 km S.W. of the town of Morro do Chapeu to the West of the road to Utinga.

Habitat
Sandstone rocks, with open sand in flatter areas. Open scrub in exposed sites to scattered low woodland.

Description
Tree to 5 m. Trunk 12 cm. in diameter with grey fissured bark. Leaves coriaceous dark green above, slightly glaucous beneath. Buds pale yellow-green. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
