HYDROPHYLLACEAE
Sprawling herbs, common, flowers white with a small,
purple mark in the center of each petal. In a shrubby
grassland on a steep, NW-facing hillside in gravelly
loam (Aramburu-Temblor complex, 50 to 75 percent
slopes; loamy-skeletal, mixed, superactive, thermic
Pachic to Lithic Haploxerolls). With Amsinckia
menziesii var. intermedia, Bromus diandrus, B.
madritensis, Claytonia parviflora var. parviflora,
Delphinium sp., Ericameria linearifolia, Galium
aparine, Isomeris arborea, Marah sp., Phacelia distans
(?) and Thysanocarpus laciniatus. To the W. side of
the crest of the Temblor Range, along the E. side of Rt.
58, about 0.65mi SE of the Kern County line. San Luis
Obispo Co. Elev. 2940ft. 35° 20' 40"N, 119° 50'
27"W. UTM 11 241835E 3914932N
