north of FM 173; on east side of road; under
grove of Quercus stellata. Unmowed area with
Cnidoscolus texanus, Schizachyrium scoparium
Eriogonum multiflorum and Ptelea trifoliata.
One to four stems from elongate fusiform corms;
roots extending to ca. 30 cm deep; phyllaries
lavender-purple.
