Flora of Los Angeles County, California, USA HYDROPHYLLACEAE Phacelia tanacetifolia Bentham LIEBRE MOUNTAINS REGION: Northern base of Portal Ridge at the mouth of Myrick Canyon, southern edge of the Antelope Valley, south of Fairmont Reservoir. Near 34° 41’ 38.9”N 118° 26’ 23.3”W. T7NR15WNE1/4 sec. 14. Elev. 3200 - 3280 Feet Gently sloping alluvial benches contrasting sharply with steep slopes. Soils derived from decomposed granite. Slopes with scrub of Adenostoma fasciculatum, Quercus wislizeni, Cercocarpus betuloides, Prunus ilicifolia, Rhamnus ilicifolia, and scattered Pinus sabiniana, benches dominated by herbaceous elements with scattered Eriogonum fasciculatum, Ribes quercetorum, Senecio flaccidus var. douglasii, Chrysothamnus nauseosus, and Pinus sabiniana.
