DISTRIBUTED BY THE HERBARIUM OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, BERKELEY. 156. Phacelia racemosa (Kell.) T. S. Brandegee, Zoe ii. 252 (1891); Hall, Zoe v. 264 (1908). Syn. Nama racemosa Kell., Proe. Calif. Aead. v. 51 (1873). Phacelia namatoides Gray, Proc. Am. Acad. x. 317 (1875). Cisco, Placer County, Upper Transition Zone, at an altitude of 1804 m. Type locality. Plants always in stony soil, often from between small stones. Stems glaucous with a bluish bloom. Corolla dull white (not blue), thin and nearly transparent between the thick nerves; lobes obtuse, one-half as long as tube; scales linear, curved inward in pairs to form a shallow, yellow depression at base of filament.
