Gray) Raven LIEBRE MOUNTAINS REGION: Knapp Ranch area at upper end of Castaic Creek drainage in broad alluvial valley at head of Cienaga Canyon, south of Liebre Mountain, flats and slopes just northeast of ranch compound. Near 34° 41’ 18.7”N 118° 39’46.5”W. T7N R17W NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec. 22. Elev. 3200 - 3480 Feet Gently sloping, broad alluvial fan with deep alluvial soils, adjacent west-facing slopes with coarse, decomposed granite soils. Flats with scrub of Eriogonum fasciculatum grading into Adenostoma fasciculatum dominated chaparral farther up the alluvial fan, slopes with more diverse chaparral including Arctostaphylos glauca, Cercocarpus betuloides, Prunus ilicifolia, Rhamnus ilicifolia, and Quercus berberidifolia.
