Cuesta Ridge east, along road to radio facility N of Mt.
Lowe, ca. 0.35 miles from Cuesta Ridge road and 4 miles
from US 101. Ca. 2400 ft. elev. Area burned over in Las
Pilitas fire of June-July 1985. Steep N-facing slope
beneath burned stand of Pinus attenuate. Deep rocky soil
derived from decomposing Monterey shale. Flowers
white with transparent windows on corolla throat. Locally
common.
