Liebre Mountains region: Northwest end of the range, Peace Valley
due south of the junction of Interstate 5 and Highway 138, and east of
Copco Road along narrow paved road which is the continuation of
Forest Service road 8N01. Near 34° 45’ 01.9”N 118 ° 47’ 47.1”W.
T7N R18W NE 1/4 NE 1/4 SW 1/4 sec. 28. Elev. 3150 Feet.
Steep, bedded sandstone slopes grading into broad, open valley floor
of deep alluvium.
Slopes with open scrub of Chrysothamnus nauseosus, Isomeris
arborea, Ericameria linearifolia, Eriogonum fasciculatum var.
polifolium, Yucca whipplei, and Encelia actoni.
Sprawling annual, flowers blue. Locally common on slope,
generally about base of shrubs.
