San Jacinto Valley, San Jacinto Wildlife Refuge at southwestern edge of Mystic Lake in the San Jacinto River floodplain, N of ‘ ’Marsh A”, NE of the refuge headquarters. Near 33°52’44’ ’N, 117°06’34”W. T3S R2W N 1/2 SW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec. 29. Elev. ca 1420 ft. Alkali playa developed on silty clay soil in area seasonally inundated, often for extended period. Adjacent areas disturbed by conversion to permanently-flooded duck ponds. Associated with Lasthenia glabrata ssp. coulteri, Plagiobothrys leptocladus, Rumex, Spergularia, Sisymbrium irio, etc. Coarse annual, flowers pale blue. Locally common in patches.
