PHACEiviA cieiata Benth. Trans. Linn. Soc. 17: 280. 1837.
No. 7784, collected April 28, on the high ridge west of
McKittrick, Kern county, in open gravelly spots, the plants low
and wide spreading. The elevation is about 3000 feet, a some-
what high altitude for this species. The type was “from Cali-
fornia. Mr. Douglas.” \
