SE end of island, on NW flanks of first large hill S of Peak 712, NW of Sandstone Point. Common; rocky slope; Monterey Shale; Coastal Sage Scrub. Elevation: 640 feet. Associated species: Rhus integrifolia, Artemisia californica, Encelia calif or nica, Marrubium vulgare, Zauschneria calif ornica, Chenopodium californicum, Rafinesquia calif ornica, Senecio douglasii, Eremocarpus setigerus, Silybum marianum, Mentzelia micrantha, Cryptantha, Marah macrocarpus, Amsinckia intermedia, Bromus rubens, Avena barbata, Hordeum murinum.
