Phacelia cicutaria var. hispida (A. Gray) J. Howell
Annual 2-2.5 feet high; many branched from base;
flowers lavender with whitish centers.
Santa Barbara County: Santa Cruz Island. Just W of
creek crossing in San Justiniano Canyon, along road to
Willows Anchorage. Locally common; shady E-facing
slope. Elevation: 100 feet.
Associated species: Baccharis pilularis, Cercocarpus
betuloides, Hemizonia fasciculata, Marrubium vulgare,
Centaurea melitensis, Silybum marianum, Perezia
microcephala, Camissonia micrantha, Antirrhinum
nuttallianum, Silene gallica, Daucus pusillus, Erodium
cicutarium, Eucrypta chrysanthemifolia, Mar ah,
Lamarckia aurea, Bromus diandrus, B. mollis, B.
rubens, Avena fatua.
