Southern base of the San Bernardino Mts., at an altitude of
460 m.
Plants 1 to 6 dm. high, often much branched. Corolla light
to dark mauve, with yellow throat. These and other Southern
California plants differ from the original description in color of
flower and in the uniform absence of corolla-scales and may
therefore be distinct from the Monterey form.
