Forest, vie. Leadore, Alpine tundra on sw
slope of peak 10,172, ca. 1 mile w of Gun-
sight peak, 2 1/2 miles above Blue Jay mine on
south side of Big Eight Mile Creek canyon. Com-
mon with Draba paysonii and Draba crassifolia.
Flowers deep yellow; pits forming mats up to
7 cm. Flowering stems to 2 cm., nearly glab-
rous; lvs with numerous, stiff cilia. Also
with Hymenoxys grandiflora, Phlox pulvinata,
Eritirchium nanum, Myosotis sylvatica, Dou-
glas ia montana, Geum rossii.
