Large Sphagnum bog with Andromeda polifolia,
Chamaedaphne calyculata, Kalmia polifolia, Ledum
groenlandicum, Salix petiolaris, S. pyrifolia.
Shrublets, the stems to 0.4 cm. in diameter; bark reddish
brown, in long peeling strips. Voucher for wood specimens
in Kw, Lw, MADw. Leafy twigs arching, the leaves held
erect.
