Swamp with Larix laricina, Picea mariana, P. glauca,
Abies balsamea, Sphagnum, Chamaedaphne calyculata,
Ledum groenlandicum, Betula pumila and the edge with
Salix lucida, S. discolor, S. petiolaris and Alnus incana ssp.
rugosa.
Slender treelet 3 m. tall, 2.7 cm. in diameter. Cut stem with
bitter almond smell. Voucher for wood specimens in Kw,
Lw, MADw, MEXUw. Inflorescence hanging; fruit green.
