Remnants of chaco forest, with Phyllostylon rhamnoides, Acanthosyris falcata, Aspidospermum quebracho-blanco, Ruprechtia triflora, with small temporary roadside pond, surrounded by pastures and cultivated fields. Flat, clay soil.

Stranded on damp mud around small temporary pond. Inflorescence erect; flowers dark blue.
