WISCONSIN, Grant Co., 2.8 km. SW of Wauzeka, slight N-
facing slope near top of ridge and edge bluff on S side of
Wisconsin River valley.

Edge of young woods of Populus grandidentata,
Zanthoxylum americanum, Prunus americana, Ulmus
americana, V rubra, Fraxinus americana at edge of old
agricultural fields now being burned and established as
prairie.
Small tree 15 cm. in diameter. Fruit light yellow-green with
reddish spot over the seed swelling; see Nee 62101 for a
nearby tree with similar fruit but without the reddish spot.
